Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. The university is renowned as the pioneer of modern research of the eyewitness memory of children as well as using children who have been abused to testify as legal witnesses. The number of publications by Professor Goodman is extensive and she has been awarded numerous grants and is the recipient of many awards at the national level and international. She has consulted with numerous government agencies and governments across the globe on policy as well as research on children who are victims of the justice system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of several professional organizations, such as those of the Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology-Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). Professor. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association's three divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Family and Child Policies and Practice.
